This past September 07, an unexpected tragedy,
Berdella losing her 38 year old daughter Kimmie,
BELOVED daughter of ""Berdella""
sister of (Chad & Promise) mother of three precious
children (Trevin, Lacy, Chelya)
aunt, cousin and friend
(September 18, 2007)
Berdella, now beginning her grief journey, traveling that
bumping, rough road one day at a time, stumbling
along her way, as now she is A BEREAVED MOTHER,
never to be the person, once she was.

Kimmie's Mom4ever
This "Kodak moment" was captured one year ago in January
at a birthday party for Kimberlee’s youngest daughter, Cheyla.
After birthday refreshments, the family retired to the living room
and was going through old pictures.
Well, whenever Promise is around, there will be pictures taken.
She is a genius at capturing candid moments
and then orchestrating different poses.
As this photograph shows, it usually turns
into just having fun and sharing love for one another.
This particular picture captures the closeness of
both daughters to each other and to me.
I distinctly remember laughing so hard
this night as we goofed around on the floor.
I love the fact that each daughter
is touching "me"with their hands
and that ""I"" am in between them.
What an impossible, unbreakable bond of love
I still feel when I view this picture.
I can still smell Kimmie’s hair, and
her cheek when I would kiss her
and if by some magic she could reach
down from""Heaven to me,"" I would
recognize, without seeing, the "feel" of her skin.
I miss my beautiful daughter every second.
Cherish every moment, every touch,
and every scent of those you hold
dear to your heart.
